I’m currently a student at UC Berkeley's School of Information and will be graduating May 2013 with a masters degree in Information Management Systems. Before coming back to school I was a self-employed designer for many years (I received my BFA in Graphic Design from California College of the Arts). In addition to having my own clients I freelanced for many different types of companies, including a B2B advertising agency and various publishing houses.
A few things I did before becoming a designer include wholesaling textbooks, waiting tables, running a small screenprinting studio, bumming around europe, studying anthropology, and selling encyclopedias door-to-door (in Texas no less! But just for a summer).
